Voters Registration Notice
(Sikyong and 17th Chitue Elections 2021)
Dear Community members:
As per official circular received from the CTA Election Commission via Representative’s Office of Tibet ( Head of Local Election Commission North America) we must do fresh registration of all the eligible voters.
Please note the following important dates and information regarding the voter registration.
Date: September 1, 2020 to October 15, 2020
Every Saturday and Sunday
Time: 1PM to 5PM
Place: TCCC, 40 Titan Road, Toronto, ON
Every Wednesday (Lhakar) Infront of Parkdale Collegiate September 2 and 9 Time: 5PM to 8PM
Every Wednesday (Lhakar) Mimico Area September 16 and 23 Time: 5PM to 8PM
Every Wednesday (Lhakar) Infront of Parkdale Collegiate September 30 and October 7 and 14, 2020 Time: 5PM to 8PM
Important Note:
1. Those Tibetans who reach the age of 18 years on October 30, 2020 & fulfilling the Voters Requirements as per Charter – in Exile can register and vote
2. To Register and Vote in the two elections, Green Book payments must be made up to March 31, 2020. Payments will be verified at the time of the registration and on the days of the elections.
Note: As per official directive received from the Representative who is the Chair of North America Local Election Committee, to successfully and smoothly organize the CTA elections 2021 we have formed a sub local election committee comprising the president of CTAO (Chair) and five members of our very own CTAO election committee members. Please attached the group photo of the members of our local election committee members and the presidents of TYC, TWAO and Chushigangdruk as three observers during the election.
